Bright Lights

The Bright Lights are deceptive —

No one knows their effect.

They can be prophesied dominance

Or a literal train wreck.

The lights may come via sunlight

Or may come via the moon;

They can come at the end of life

Or shine bright at noon,

So like a bird on a wire, we wait for our chance:

To show what we are made off,

To shine and advance,

To achieve the potential

We were given at birth,

To leave a royal legacy,

Make our mark on this earth.
