Critical Nature

I feel sharp bursts of annoyance

at the feckless behavior of others,

It is immature and trivial

I know I should be better.

I should extend compassion,

Show grace and flexibility,

Try to be a help,

not a hindrance,

But the process has initiated.

embroiled in judging,

I feel the critical aspect of my nature

Emerge like a Raging storm.

I hear sharp barbs in the words

That cut like a knife

as they Cascade from my mouth

And I hope that I am never judged

By the impossible standards

I hold others to.
