Windows rolled down with Springsteen blaring

On my CD player, and I’m not even caring-

Headed to your house where I plan on sharing

The feelings I have stored up all day.

Oh to be young and free again-

Not knowing where I’m going,

Not caring where I’ve been,

Not cognizant of responsibilities or sin,

Just free to do things my way.

Life should be lived when one is young:

Chances should be taken; songs should be sung;

Roads should be traveled and doorbells rung.

Adventures should be taken I say.

As for now, I’ll lay back in my easy chair

Memories to revisit and thoughts to share,

For a moment I’ll smile at you without a care

As the music continues to play.
