Divisions

As humans, we eternally create divisions

In our families we manufacture unending schisms:

Conflicts with those we should keep dear to our heart,

But instead we are constantly torn apart.

If only we could extend forgiveness and grace,

Erase all the discord we continually face ,

Choose to extend agape love to all,

Maybe we can return to the life before man’s fall.

For what is the true garden of Eden?

It is the childlike choice to choose to believe in

The goodness that lies beneath our dissension,

The honesty that will lead to our ascension .

So be brave enough to admit when you are wrong,

To admit that love was there all along,

To live up the the promise of our creator,

Choose to end divisions now rather than later.
