Ed Sheeran and Damien Rice NEED to Create a Song or Album Together

I love Damien Rice. I love Ed Sheeran. Sheeran himself. has acknowledged that Rice is his musical hero and role model. He even has a picture of himself, 12 year old Ed, with Damien at one of Rice’s concerts. Sheeran loves to collaborate and has two collaboration albums to prove it. I have come to the conclusion that Damien is the one holding up my musical collaboration dreams.

I read an article once where Rice was quoted as saying he was unfamiliar with Sheeran’s. work. Seems hard to believe in terms. of Sheeran’s. massive commercial success, but Rice is Irish and introspective and often off the grid. I have been to three total concerts in my life, and Rice and Sheeran are the two I actually bought tickets too. I bought tickets to a David Ramirez. concert- and why he isn’t more famous is another fathomable one of life’s mysteries- and I won concerts to a Train concert, which I enjoyed, but that does not really. count.

Now, I am old — older than Damien who is no spring chicken himself- and have and always will have an. avid appreciation of high quality music. I’m naturally drawn to lyrics as I teach English as the written word is my holy grail, and Rice and Sheeran are poets. They both have moved me to tears on occasion and have touched my emotions as only true poets can.
