Forever

When I promised you forever, I meant it

Though time has taken perfection and bent it

We are like a well aged wine: fermented

Each time we might divide, we prevent it

Each day our loves a currency: freshly minted.

And our hearts are joined forever: cemented

For when we promised forever, we both meant it.
