Heart Hurting

The pain seems unbearable-

The situation unresolvable.

Life can be a puzzling maze

We struggle to muddle through.

Those things that seem to break your heart-

That tear your very being apart-

You hold deep within your chest.

They fester there never letting you rest.

Sometimes the solution just does not exist,

And in your heart the pain just lives,

So you soldier on and just try to be useful

And find some friends to give comfort to your soul,

Say your prayers and ask for grace

While at night the tears race down your face.
