Hurt

She hurts herself

So she won’t feel the pain

And drinks herself to sleep

To numb her brain

She longs to live

But cannot find her way

The stress keeps piling up

Won’t stay at bay

Life seems too much

To bear at seventeen

The voices in her head

They rant and scream

You’re not enough;
