Music Speaks to my Soul

The sound invades my inner being

The words open my eyes to a new way of seeing

Music can make my fractured mind whole

It’s like breathing in calmness and expelling distress

Music can heal me when I am a mess

Life can be perilous to those who overthink

And music provides the perfect calming drink

So if you see me in a corner with my headphones on

Just know that I am rejuvenating so I can face a new dawn
