The relentless throbbing increases,

As raw nerve endings feel under attack,

Machine gun spikes of torment

Rat -a -tat ,rat- a-tat, rat-a-tat

And the endless pain takes over

Like a tidal wave drowning

intensely ache all over

Like your joints are engaged in constant war

you like awake struggling

Trying to ignore the unforgiving torture

You can’t help but wonder

If there will ever be an end

To this excruciating pain
