The monotony of existence

Often requires much mental persistence

To focus and produce as one intends.

Simple, small distractions

Can be viewed as mild abstractions

But often lead to perilizing ends.

To maintain one’s concentration

And alleviate frustration,

It’s necessary to then make amends

For ignoring texts and human contact,

So one does not get sidetracked

From doing work on which ones pay depends!
