We were prolific breeders

Who sought to reproduce,

But now we’re getting stingy with our seed.

Is there a crisis

Looming up ahead?

A future with Too many

senior mouths to feed?

With both parents working,

Children are harder and harder to conceive

And often too expensive to maintain,

But if we can’t replace our population

What will humanity ever gain?

Do we get busy in the bedroom

Or accept the status quo?

Will we have a future crisis?

No one seems to know.
