Simulation

This world could be just a simulation

A way for aliens to work out their frustration

Or possibly find some relaxation

In a world more advanced than we know

I perused a while in bafflement

Was I merely an alien’s entertainment?

Was that what it meant by heaven sent?

Was reality really for show?

Such questions often tend to derail me,

And I find at such times that logic will fail me.

Is reality not what I perceive it to be?

How could that really be so?

I’m just going to pretend that I’m in control

My nature part divine, possessing a soul

For if feigned happiness is the ultimate goal

I’m just going to go with the flow.
