Sure, I say

as he turns his head my way

And inquires with that half crooked smile

My heart races and I imagine us in places

That I haven’t been in a while

Romance is in bloom, and it isn’t quite noon,

So I calm myself and relax

It’s business as usual -not anything unusual-

Just a spark of desire

But life intervenes as we play out our scenes

And I tamper that tingle of fire
