The Outside Sonnet

The sweet hot smell of rows of fresh cut hay

And corn fields that go on forever green

We sit together watch tree branches sway

While mockingbirds, they hum, dance and preen

We rejuvenate this peaceful sunny day

Enjoy Ohio’s summer countryside
