The Journey is the Blessing
All the issues I keep facing
Always have me second guessing;
Choices overwhelm me,
And it can get quite distressing.
Still, I stop and smell the roses —
Text my child and say I love you.
Because at the end of every day,
Family is my superglue.
The process is important
As it tests my mettle with life’s fire.
The process helps determine
What is real or just desire.
My soul is like a lump of clay
To be Molded by my Maker’s hand.
The end result is harmony —
That much I understand.
So I’ll traverse this current reality,
My flaws openly confessing
As I seek to be a child of God
Knowing the journey is my blessing.
