Thirst

Some thirst for knowledge;

Some thirst for fame;

Some spend their efforts

On a losing game;

Some thirst for passion;

Others crave love;

Some follow science;

Some choose to look above

For answers in the heavens

To the dilemmas in life,

For we all face tough choices —

We all encounter strife.

But a new year is starting,

And avenues are expanding.

Where we may be taking off

May not be where we are landing.

Therefore, choose to be brave —

Our course is not fated —

And hopefully our thirsts

Will soon be satiated.
